At the heart of Egypt’s burgeoning knitwear industry stands El Kilany, an emblem of quality and tradition. Founded in 1985, El Kilany emerged as one of Egypt’s first and most distinguished knitwear manufacturers. Our legacy is rich; from crafting exquisite pullovers for men, women, and children to producing an extensive range of knitwear essentials.
Our journey began under the visionary leadership of El Kilany; the Father, whose son; Eng. Bassem El Kilany served with dedication as the Production Manager from 1991 to 2011. His commitment to excellence transformed El Kilany into a beacon of quality in the knitwear industry.
Beyond catering to the local Egyptian market, our reputation transcended borders. We proudly became one of the initial exporters from Egypt to the USA and other global markets.
Situated in the 10th of Ramadan City, our expansive facility stretches over 3,000 square meters, hosting over 30 dynamic production lines managed by a dedicated team of 250+ employees. Each corner of our establishment, from the intricate machinery to the finishing units, resonates with our commitment to perfection.

In 2011, Bassem El Kilany embarked on a new chapter, drawing inspiration from his father’s legacy. Building on the foundation laid by the previous generation, Bassem introduced a unique and differentiated collection of knitwear products, enriching the markets he engaged with. This move marked the onset of a transformative era for El Kilany, paving the way for future innovations.

Following his dynamic tenure as Production Manager and inspired by the legacy laid by his predecessors, Bassem El Kilany pioneered a fresh venture in 2011, launching “Manzoni – Egypt.” His vision was clear: to redefine knitwear fashion. As the industry sketches transformed, Bassem’s ingenuity led him, by 2019, into an unexpected yet groundbreaking direction — the production of the upper parts of shoes.
But Bassem didn’t stop there. Recognizing the potential and intricacies of shoe manufacturing, he fostered strategic collaborations with diverse suppliers and manufacturers. This synergistic approach integrated techniques like injection molding and other cutting-edge methods. The result? A holistic, finished shoe product ready to make its mark both in local and global markets.
A Flourishing Enterprise Under Bassem's Leadership
Today, under the expert guidance of Bassem El Kilany, the factory stands as a testament to innovation and hard work. Spanning 1,500 square meters, this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility boasts 50 advanced production lines, all diligently managed by a dedicated team of 75 employees. Together, they carry forward the vision of Manzoni – Egypt, blending tradition with cutting-edge technology to meet the ever-evolving demands of the knitwear and footwear industries.
From Electrical Engineering to Global Knitwear Mastery: Bassem's Unique Journey
Intriguingly, Bassem El Kilany’s foundation isn’t solely rooted in fashion and manufacturing. With an Electrical Engineering degree from the esteemed Ain Shams University in Cairo, Bassem’s unique blend of technical acumen and creative vision forms the cornerstone of his success. This academic prowess, combined with his immersion in global knitwear and footwear arenas, truly sets him apart, making Manzoni – Egypt an exceptional fusion of engineering precision and artistic flair.
